About US
I'm
32 years old and have been happily married to my wife, Megan for 8 years and
currently reside in Platteville, CO. I'm a Certified Journeyman Farrier.
My shoeing practice includes a variety of different horses including
dressage, jumpers and 3-day eventers. I graduated from Colorado
State Farrier’s Apprenticeship Program. I then apprenticed with Jim
Quick. Some of my accomplishments are winning the 2001 Two-Man
forging in
Calgary with Bill Poor.
During the last four years
I won the tong division at Calgary 3 times and took second once. I placed second
with Shane Carter in the Two-Man at the 2000 convention. In 2002, I
placed fifth in the Mustad Specialty forging and fourth in
the Two-Man
with Jim Quick as my partner which landed me on the AFT (American
Farrier's Team) Gold team as first alternate. At the 2003 American
Farrier's Convention in Salt Lake City, I place
second overall (behind Austin Edens) and was an AFT Gold team member with
Austin Edens, Bill Poor, Troy Price and with Todd Walker as first
alternate. In 2004, I again placed second overall at the 2004
American Farrier's Convention and was on the AFT Gold team with
Austin
Edens, Dick Becker, Hank Highfield and Todd Walker as first
alternate. In my
spare time I enjoy hunting and fishing along with other outdoor
activities. |
